Brazil's Law 14.831/2024: the Mental Health Promoting Company certificate

A Brazilian federal law that turns workplace mental health work into a formal certificate — usable in employer branding and in the social pillar of ESG reporting. Relevant to any group with Brazilian operations.

What the law says

Enacted in April 2024, Law 14.831 creates Brazil's Mental Health Promoting Company certificate. It sets out the criteria a company must meet to be granted it — objective ones, tied to what the company actually does for the mental health of its workforce.

The certificate is valid for two years and may be used in communication, advertising and in the social pillar of ESG reporting.

What the law requires:

  • Programmes for mental health and clear routes of support.
  • Action against harassment and discrimination at work.
  • Manager training, so leadership is part of the answer.
  • Follow-up and transparency on what was actually done.

Does your company already meet these?

Eixo4 puts in place the governance the law asks for — the Exora platform, the method and the credentialed network — so the requirements are met by structure, not by a one-off campaign.
